Amy Baker,Ph.D.
Dr. Amy Baker is beginning her first year as an assistant professor at Belmont in the Department of Health and Human Performance. Dr. Baker earned a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Louisville in Education Administration with emphasis in Sport Administration; a Master of Science in Sport and Fitness Management from Troy University; and, a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion from Auburn University.
Prior to joining the faculty at Belmont, she was a graduate
teaching assistant in the Department of Health and Sport Sciences
at the University of Louisville teaching health, physical activity,
and sport administration courses. Additionally, Dr. Baker was
recognized as the outstanding graduate student in the College of
Education and Human Development.
Dr. Baker has research and scholarship interests focusing primarily in mentoring. She is a member of the North American Society for Sport Management, the National Association for Kinesiology and Physical Education in Higher Education, and the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance.
