The Belmont Sports Administration program has been an invaluable resource for my future in the sports world.

Because the classes met in the evenings, I was fortunate to intern by day during my first semester with the Tennessee Titans in the Publications/Internet Operations department during the 2004 season. From there, I interned with the Nashville Kats of the Arena Football League, where I assisted in media relations, publications and directed community relations initiatives.

Since the Kats and Titans share the same majority owner, many of the skills and relationships continued for my second semester in the SAM program.

Thankfully I was able to complete my Master's Degree in one year and used my final internship during the summer to direct the publicity for Third Coast Sports, a company that runs Faith Nights at minor league stadiums.

As a result of these great internship opportunities, I am now in my second season with the Titans as a full-time intern in the public relations department.

The application oriented degree combined with the learned professional skills prepared me for all that is ahead. Belmont's connections into the Nashville sports scene made it easy to transfer the class concepts into real life situations.

I am grateful for the Belmont Sport Administration program and all it has done to further my career.
