In my searches for a graduate school, I had certain standards I was looking for in my program. I wanted a program that would assist me in obtaining an internship in my field while I was attending classes, a program that would take less than 2 years to complete, and an opportunity to make connections and network in the sports community of Nashville, the Southeast and all over the country.
I was impressed with the connections Belmont had in the sports community. Nashville is a great city for sports! With two professional teams, a minor league team, state of the art facilities, a nationally recognized Sports Council, an NCAA Conference Office and over a dozen major Colleges and Universities housed in and around the city, there are countless opportunities for Belmont students to obtain significant internships, volunteer opportunities and valid work experience.
I liked the fact that the instructors at Belmont were people who
were, for the most part, out in the working world and not full-time
professors. They seemed to be more in touch with what was happening
in the industry and led the group in some very in-depth and
interesting classroom discussions.
I also liked the fact that I had all of my classes with most of the same people. I got to know the people in class with me very well, and I am happy to know that they will be in my life well into the future.
In my time here I have met some wonderful people who have helped me learn about the Sport Industry with first hand experience and have provided me the means to help me begin a career that I can be passionate about.
