Thrailkill Hall opened its doors for the first time on August 19, 2006 to welcome returning upperclass students. It provides living space for 322 students and increased on-campus parking by 400 spaces. The residence hall is named in honor of Belmont's past chairman Larry Thrailkill and his wife, Jan. Thrailkill served on the university's Board of Trustees since 1980 and led the board as chairman during a period of rapid growth for the university. 
Facilites
Thrailkill rooms are suite style. The rooms are 16' x 16' and are double occupancy. The only single rooms are the RA rooms. Rooms are furnished with 2 twin beds, 2 dressers, 2 wardrobes, 2 desks, and 2 chairs. Voicemail, internet and cable hook-ups are available in each room. Individual heating and air units are in each room and are controlled by the residents. The floors in the rooms are tiled. The front desk is located in the lobby on the main entrance floor. Laundry and vending is available on the main level. Thrailkill is located next to the Hillside and Bruin Hills Apartment Complexes.
