Dr. Simpler teaches The Study of Religion and Christian Doctrine. He has a keen interest in collaborative teaching methods. His areas of professional interest are contemporary theology and religion in popular culture. He also enjoys occasionally reading the classics of Christian theology and spirituality. He is currently working on a book that deals with rethinking the way college professors teach.
He competes in running and cycling races, and is hopelessly addicted to fitness activities. He enjoys cooking and eating, and often creates healthy Italian or Mexican food dishes for his family.
