A group of Belmont Physical Therapy students will be traveling to Guatemala City for a physical therapy mission trip from March 3-9, 2007. The 2007 Belmont Physical Therapy Mission Volunteers will be working with The Shalom Foundation which has an established relationship with the hospital in Guatemala City through medical mission trips they do in coordination with Vanderbilt Medical School.
Through prior trips, the Shalom Foundation has built a Christian elementary school that helps malnourished children reach age-appropriate height and weight. In addition, several groups from Vanderbilt Medical School have assisted The Shalom Foundation with surgical procedures for children in need. As Belmont physical therapy students, we are proud to have this opportunity to serve the spiritual and rehabilitation needs of the hospital in Guatemala City. We would also like to thank the many individuals and organizations which have supported us through prayer and financial donations. May God bless and keep you.
