Bruce T. "Woody" Caine


Dr. Woody Caine is a graduate of the College of William and Mary in Virginia and was commissioned a Regular Army Infantry Officer in 1966. During his 26 years of active duty, Colonel Caine served in a variety of command and staff positions, specializing in leadership education, strategic planning, training management and organizational effectiveness. He received his Masters of Science and Doctor of Philosophy Degrees in Social Psychology and Organizational Behavior from the University of Florida, and is a graduate of the Command and General Staff College, the Armed Forces Staff College, and the Inspector General Course and the U.S. Army War College.

Dr. Caine is a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International, Past President of the Williamson County American Heart Association, and Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 93. He is the author of numerous professional articles, and the creator of training workbooks and instructional videos. He has taught at eight different colleges and universities including the United States Military Academy, and was the director of the Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness undergraduate program of Peabody COllege, Vanderbilt University for 10 years.

Known for his insight, candor, and infectious energy, Woody's academic courses and workshops in developmental and social psychology, human resource management, organizational development and strategic change, and his interactive leadership and followership presentations are packed with stimulating concepts, imaginative exercises, practical suggestions, and ample bits of wisdom drawn from a lifetime of learning from experience in his overlapping "careers" as a soldier, parent, educator, coach, trainer, consultant, and community volunteer.
