Dr. William Bailey received his Ph.D. in General Experimental Psychology in 1982 from the University of Mississippi. After serving on the psychology faculty at Mississippi College from 1976 to 1986, he joined the Belmont psychology program. His main areas of interest in psychology are theories of human and animal learning and conditioning, memory, biopsychology, and research design. He maintains a small animal laboratory for teaching and research purposes. When he is not teaching courses or advising students, he enjoys hiking and fishing and he is active in local boy scout and cub scout activities. He has two sons.
