Dr. Seraphine Shen-Miller joined the faculty in the fall of 2009. She graduated from the University of Oregon, where she earned her Ph.D. in social/personality psychology. Her areas of research interest are materialism and well-being, the intersections of ecological and personality psychology, and the development of Theory of Mind in children. She teaches Personality Psychology, Intro to Psychology, Child Development, Research Methods, and Cross-Cultural Psychology. Dr. Shen-Miller has lived an international life, having lived in Belgium, Taiwan, and in the U.S. She loves music, hiking, traveling, cooking and learning about great spots to visit in and around Nashville.
