Lauren Gilbert, Ph.D.


Dr. Lauren Gilbert received her Ph.D. in experimental psychology (with a primary focus in child development and a secondary focus in psychophysiology) from the University of Kentucky. She joined Belmont's faculty in the fall of 2015. Dr. Gilbert's teaching and research interests include: stress, emotion regulation, parenting, and the biopsychosocial implications of sleep deprivation for individual and family functioning. She teaches Intro to Psychology, Research Methods, Life Span Development, and Physiological Psychology. Her hobbies include hiking, camping, and traveling with family and friends.
