Dr. Peter Giordano joined the Psychology Department in 1989 and currently serves as department chair. He received his BA, MA, and PhD (Clinical Psychology) degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He teaches Abnormal Psychology, Theories of Personality, Psychometrics, and Introduction to Psychological Science. His favorite activity around the department is to help students with individual or group research projects. He is past National President of Psi Chi and has served as the Editor of the Methods and Techniques section of the journal Teaching of Psychology. He is the husband of Jan the the father of Nicholas (age 19, and a freshman a Belmont) and Michael (age 15). He loves the outdoors, particularly hiking and camping out West or in the North Carolina mountains. Vita
