Study abroad/off-campus programs

study abroad Belmont students are encouraged to enhance their learning experience by spending a semester or a year abroad in an intensive language or interdisciplinary program. Belmont is a member of the Cooperative Center for Study in Britain, which allows our students access to study programs in England, Ireland, Scotland, and Australia. We also have an exchange program in France at the University of Angers, less than two hours from Paris, as well as intriguing opportunities in Mexico, Italy, Costa Rica, China, Spain, Germany, and Russia.

Students may study subjects from music and dance to journalism and foreign languages. Participants in the program may earn academic credit as well as credit towards their Convocation requirement.

There's also our unique Washington Center Intern Program, which places Belmont students in individualized internships in the Washington, D.C., area, for which they may earn college credits. Washington Center interns also attend seminars and lectures that enrich their on-site experience.
