| Because traditional four-year degree programs do not sufficiently accommodate the educational needs of many adults, Belmont provides opportunities for community members to take professional development and continuing education courses through the Office of Continuing Education. Courses are available on a non-credit or continuing education unit (CEU) basis. Our programs are developed through educational partnerships with individuals, businesses, and organizations to offer specialized courses that meet the needs of continuing education and non-degree students in the Belmont community. |

Transient students admission is for no more than one semester unless requested by the school to which the grades will be transferred. Admission as a transient student is granted on the basis of Belmont's Transient Student Permission Form, completed by the Registrar's Office at your current institution. (A student coming directly from high school to summer school at Belmont needs to supply a high school transcript, SAT/ACT scores, and a copy of the letter of acceptance from the accredited institution the student plans to attend in the fall.)

An audit student attends class presentations as a non-credit, non-degree seeking student. Audit admission is based upon the following criteria: (1) Audit is non-credit in all cases; (2) Students taking courses for credit have priority over audit students for class entry. Therefore, audit students may register on a space-available basis only after all other students have registered.

Individuals enrolled in one of the institutions with whom Belmont has a cross-registration agreementt should complete this application and submit it to the registrar of your home institution by the required deadline. The home institution will notify Belmont of students permitted to be cross-registrants. This process must be completed each term for which the student wishes to take courses at Belmont.
