Dr. Samuel von Mizener
Dr. Sam von Mizener earned his Ph.D. at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 2006. In 1997, he obtained his M.A. in Philosophy from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Sam earned his B.A. at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 1992, and spent his junior year abroad at the University of Manchester in England, in 1991. Sam’s spouse, Natalya, is Russian. They have one son, Valerii, who is five years old. One of the great benefits in doing philosophy is that Sam is sometimes able to see that frequently he does not know what he is talking about, and, notwithstanding this realization, that it’s okay to continue talking. This has been especially helpful to Sam as a husband and a father.
