Dr. Andrew Davis
Dr. Andrew Alexander Davis holds a B.A. in philosophy from the Pennsylvania State University's Schreyer Honors College and an M.A. and a Ph.D. in philosophy from Villanova University. From 2000-2001, he studied with the Philosophische Fakultät at Marburg's Philipps-Universität. He wrote his B.A. honors thesis on hermeneutics and poetics and his dissertation on Hegel's Logic. He enjoys reading books from across the history of philosophy with his classes. So far, he has taught courses in Modern Philosophy, the Metaphysics of Music, Lies and Lying, Artistotle's Nicomachean Ethics and Plato's Republic. He is the current faculty sponsor for Belmont's The Mike Awalt Chapter of Phi Sigma Tau, the international philosophy honor society.
