Dr. Kristina Wood received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from Southwestern Oklahoma State University College of Pharmacy in Weatherford, OK. While pursuing her degree, she became active in several professional organizations including the American Pharmacists Association Academy of Student Pharmacists, Phi Lambda Sigma, and Kappa Epsilon.
Dr. Wood completed an ASHP-APHA accredited Ambulatory/Community Care PGY1 residency with The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy. During her residency, she developed her interests in ambulatory care and interdisciplinary care by working with a pharmacist managed clinic, an internal medicine clinic, a family medicine clinic, and a federally qualified health center. Dr. Wood also pursued her desire to teach during residency by teaching in a variety of courses at The Ohio State University and completing a teaching certificate.
As Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice, Dr. Wood teaches in Therapeutic Case Studies, Pharmaceutical Care, Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience Seminars for students in the Pharmacotherapy concentration track, and Communications and Counseling. She is establishing clinical pharmacy services at Vanderbilt Internal Medicine Group at One Hundred Oaks. This practice will serve as an Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience site for student pharmacists in their fourth year of course work.
