Dr. Montgomery Williams is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy in Columbia, South Carolina.  She served as the president of the Alpha Lambda chapter of Kappa Epsilon Professional Pharmacy Fraternity while attending pharmacy school and was an active member of Phi Lambda Sigma Pharmacy Leadership Society and American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

Dr. Williams completed an ASHP-accredited pharmacy practice residency at Mission Hospitals in Asheville, North Carolina. During her residency, Dr. Williams pursued an interest in internal medicine, including infectious disease and gastrointestinal system disorders. Dr. Williams also served as the co-preceptor for several University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy students while in Asheville.

As Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice, Dr. Williams teaches courses related to clinical science, such as Case Studies and Nutritional Health.  Dr. Williams has established an internal medicine practice site at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, Tennessee, where she works in conjunction with the hospitalist physician group.  Her practice setting will serve as an Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience site for student pharmacists in their fourth year of course work.
