Dr. Kendall Shultes joined the Belmont faculty in the fall of 2017. Originally from Upstate New York, she received her BA with honors from the State University of New York at Geneseo in Communication with a minor in Business Studies. With the completion of her pre-pharmacy course work, she moved to Nashville, TN where she attended Belmont University College of Pharmacy for her doctorate of pharmacy training. After graduating with honors, Dr. Shultes completed an ASHP-Accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency as well as an ASHP-Accredited PGY2 Oncology Residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Following residency, Dr. Shultes worked as a clinical pharmacy specialist in hematological malignancies and stem cell transplantation at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.

As an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice, Dr. Shultes teaches oncology and oncology-related topics in the Pathophysiology and Therapeutics series, the Therapeutic Case Studies series, as well as a Pain Management elective in the fall semester. Her practice site is at the Vanderbilt University Cool Springs Oncology Clinic where she works with physicians serving patients with a variety of cancers. Dr. Shultes’ practice site serves as an Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience site for student pharmacists in their fourth year of the pharmacy curriculum.
