Dr. Elisa Greene joined the Belmont faculty in 2011. After graduating with high honors from Auburn University and the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy, Dr. Greene completed an ASHP –accredited pharmacy practice residency with an emphasis in ambulatory care and a teaching certificate program at Palm Beach Atlantic University. Dr. Greene is a Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist and has completed the American College of Clinical Pharmacy Teaching Certificate Program.

Dr. Greene teaches primarily in the Pathophysiology/Therapeutics and Pharmaceutical Care sequences. In addition to guest lecturing on a variety of ambulatory care related topics, the Landmark Clinical Trials and Cross-Cultural Communication electives are areas of special interest. She provides clinical pharmacy services at Siloam Health, a non-profit family medicine center offering whole-person care to serve the needs of those who have fallen through the cracks in the traditional healthcare system. This collaborative, interdisciplinary practice serves as a site for student pharmacists completing ambulatory care and missions Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences to provide culturally-sensitive care to patients from over 80 different language and ethnic groups. Dr. Greene enjoys collaborations with the Tennessee Associations of Professional/Medical Interpreters developed through shared work at Siloam Health.
