Dr. Chirico brings 20 years of pharmacy practice experience to Belmont University’s College of Pharmacy. He has held practice and supervisory positions in the Indian Health Service and United States Coast Guard, and has devoted over 10 years of service to the Veteran’s Administration Healthcare System. Dr. Chirico’s interests are in pharmacy-managed clinical services, ambulatory care and geriatrics care.
Dr. Chirico was previously a practicing faculty member at the University of Florida School of Pharmacy and was published in peer-reviewed journals focusing on diabetes care. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Kansas in 2006 and his Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from Arnold and Marie Schwartz School of Pharmacy in Brooklyn, New York in 1989.
As Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice, Dr. Chirico instructs students in the Pharmaceutical Care sequence, Missions electives and Health Assessment. He also advises and assists students throughout the Pharmacy Practice Experiences.
