Dr. Ashton Beggs joined the Belmont faculty during the summer of 2012. She graduated cum laude from St. Louis College of Pharmacy in St. Louis, Missouri. Following graduation, Dr. Beggs completed an ASHP-Accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at St. Vincent Hospital as well as an ASHP-Accredited PGY2 Specialty Residency in Ambulatory Care at St. Vincent Joshua Max Simon Primary Care Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. 

As an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice, Dr. Beggs teaches in Pharmaceutical Care 1, the Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Elective, and Therapeutics Case Studies, in addition to guest lecturing in other courses related to ambulatory care. She also serves as one of the advisors for the Belmont Student Society of Health-System Pharmacy.

Dr. Beggs has established clinical pharmacy services at a local primary care clinic serving adults experiencing homelessness. This practice site serves as an Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience site for student pharmacists in their fourth year of the pharmacy curriculum.
