Medicinal Garden

The Medicinal Garden at Belmont University’s College of Pharmacy is home to over 30 different medicinal plants.  Next to McWhorter Hall, this garden was thankfully developed by students and faculty.  As the new College of Pharmacy was being developed, this garden became a project in which tied Belmont’s historic past and distinctive landscapes, with the history of pharmacy practice.

As a platform for student service projects, students care for the garden, but also help develop gardens in other communities around Nashville.  In addition, this garden will also aid pharmacy students in subject of Pharmacognosy, the study of medicine derived from natural resources.

With the grateful help and donations of students, faculty, and President Fisher’s family, this garden was developed for all to appreciate.  Please come down and visit the garden.  Enjoy and explore.
