Improving Outcomes for Individuals with Traumatic Brain Injury through the Creation of a Comprehensive Brain Injury Directory and Resource Guide
The purpose of this residency project was to increase the quality of life for children and adolescents who have acquired a traumatic brain injury (TBI). The project was completed in collaboration with Project BRAIN, a program of the Tennessee Disability Coalition. It included the creation of a Brain Injury Directory and Resource Guide designed to educate interested parties on traumatic brain injuries, facilitate effective communication for those involved in caring for a child who has survived a traumatic brain injury, and provide recommendations for parents and health care professionals on tips to increase academic success for children who have sustained a TBI.
