Promotion of Collaboration between Therapist, Teachers, and Parents through Technology: Focus on Educational Outcomes for Students with Disabilities
The purpose of this project was twofold: 1) to explore factors that impact collaboration among therapists, teachers, and parents of special needs children in the Coffee County School District in Tennessee, and 2) to design an online tool to enhance existing levels of collaboration. Using information gathered from focus groups held with parents and teachers and survey data from teachers only, a website and online tool was developed to improve communication between therapists, teachers and parents within the School District.
