Dr. Sabrina Salvant has had a long history with Columbia University,
receiving her master’s in public health, occupational therapy and her EdD all from Columbia. She has over 22 years of clinical experience and has enjoyed an 18.5 year academic career at Columbia University’s Programs in Occupational Therapy in New York City where she has provided didactic instruction and clinical training to master’s level occupational therapy students. She left New York City and is currently the program director for the entry level doctorate at Belmont University.  She also serves as a board member for the Haiti Rehabilitation Board whose primary purpose is to launch a School of Rehabilitation Sciences in Leogane, Haiti for Haitians who are interested in becoming occupational or physical therapists to address the enormous rehabilitative needs of individuals with disabilities in Haiti.  Lastly, she serves as an ACOTE reviewer for the American Council for Occupational Therapy Education and will be involved in providing input into the creation of the academic standards that govern the occupational therapy profession.
