Emmy Dagnan (OTD, OTR/L, CLT, HFS) graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Movement Science from Texas Christian University, her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy and Doctor of Occupational Therapy from Belmont University. She teaches in the OTD & MSOT programs.

Emmy is a certified ACSM Health Fitness Specialist where she assists those with medically controlled diseases and health conditions, as well as apparently healthy clients, in adopting and maintaining healthy lifestyle behaviors. Academic preparation also includes fitness management, administration, and supervision.

Emmy is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist.  She has been trained in the four components of Complete Decongestive Therapy since 2006 and is able to differentiate between varieties of peripheral edemas as well as understand the applications, medical indications, and contraindications of Manual Lymph Drainage and Complete Decongestive Therapy.

Her clinical experience includes adult outpatient rehabilitation, inpatient rehabilitation, and acute care with an emphasis on orthopedic and neurological disorders.  Her research interests are health and wellness and the use of simulation labs in Occupational Therapy education.
