Greek Risk Management Training

Risk Management Training takes place for students who are members of the Fraternity and Sorority Community at Belmont. While our Greek system prides itself on providing an intentionally different experience than the commonly portrayed experience, Belmont works to ensure that our chapters are prepared for situations that can arise in any college community.

The purpose of Risk Management Training is to provide students with education on topics like:

  • Alcohol Awareness
  • Sexual Assault and Sexual Misconduct
  • Dangers of Drug Addiction
  • Hazing and Bullying
  • Intervention Techniques
  • Referral Strategies

In Addition, students leave with an understanding of what we call “The Three Rs of Risk Management”

i. How to Recognize – know if the situation is a problem. Is this hazing? Is this risky?
ii. How to Respond – what do I do when I have decided there is a problem?
iii. How to Remove – how do I ensure that nothing bad will happen (again)?
