Greek Presidents’ & Emerging Leaders Training
The Office of Student Engagement & Leadership Development (SELD) works diligently to ensure that the experience that students who participate in fraternity and sorority life at Belmont University have is positive, enriching, and in line with the mission and vision of Belmont University. The ways in which we train our Greek students, whether they are in the top leadership positions in their groups, like chapter presidents, or are just beginning their time as student leaders.
SELD hosts an annual Chapter President Training Retreat for each of our eight chapter presidents each year in order to help reinforce a community-wide support system for those students and provide them with necessary skills and tools for success in their role.
Additionally, SELD hosts training workshops for emerging leaders. Emerging leaders are described as freshmen, sophomores, or juniors that show initiative and promise as future Belmont Chapter Officers or community leaders. These workshops are designed to set a foundation of basic leadership skills and build a community of young up-and-coming student leaders at Belmont.
