Timely Warning – Indecent Exposure

Date:  August 24, 2018

Location: Near the Belmont Mail Center on Acklen Ave.

Belmont Campus Security received a call regarding a man seen masturbating inside his vehicle by the Belmont Mail Center on Acklen Ave. at approximately 2:52 p.m. this afternoon. The vehicle was last seen heading east on Acklen towards 12th Ave.

Description: The man was described as a white male driving a green Chevrolet pick-up truck.

Both Campus Security and the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department responded, but the suspect has not been located in the area at this time. 

 

Follow these safety precautions to keep you and your valuables safe:

  • Stay alert for suspicious activity, and notify Security if you see something of concern.
  • Remain aware of your surroundings. Keep your eyes up and alert when walking.
  • Travel in groups, especially at night. Use the buddy system. Communicate your whereabouts and stay together when traveling.
  • Travel in well-lit and well-populated areas.
  • Use the security escort service provided by Campus Security when on campus.
  • Trust your instincts – if you feel unsafe, get to a safe location; walk confidently and with purpose away from the risk and call Campus Security or the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD).
  • Report suspicious activity immediately.
