Data Trustees

Data Trustees

The Data Trustees are comprised of the leadership from all functional areas of the university that create and maintain data.  Primary responsibilities:

  1. Participate in the data governance steering process

The Data Trustees as a group will help to set priorities for the data governance process.  They may help identify areas of concern or growth.

  1. Oversee the integrity of the data

While these individuals are most likely not responsible for data entry or data quality as a part of their daily tasks, they are directly responsible for the data area that they oversee.  It is their responsibility to ensure that staff members in their area are actively participating in the data governance process and ensuring the quality of the data.  The data trustee may also take a direct role in creating business definitions and metrics related to their area.
