Student Nurses Association
What is SNA?
SNA is a student led organization that was formed to meet the needs of Nursing Students.
The group is affiliated with the National Student Nurses Association (NSNA). We meet once a month. Most meetings feature a guest speaker from a different area of nursing, who presents a topic related to his or her field. Previous speakers have included nurse managers, nurse anesthetists, NICU nurses, and many others.
SNA is always looking for suggestions on who to invite to our meetings. After all, we are an organization created to serve our students. We hope that these discussions open doors for our fellow students and prove to be valuable resources in their career decision making process. Our monthly meetings are also a great chance to grab a free breakfast and get to know your fellow nursing students. We hope to see you at the next meeting!
Joining SNA
SNA is open to all nursing students. Anyone can attend our monthly meetings, activities, and convention. We do however, encourage all nursing students to join the National Student Nursing Association (NSNA). Belmont students can become an NSNA member for $35 dollars. $30 goes for national NSNA dues and $5 goes to the Belmont SNA chapter. All NSNA members receive the NSNA publication imprint fours times a year and are eligible for scholarships, as well as discounts on books, scrubs and mid-year convention dues.
