Carrie Harvey

Dr. Harvey has spent much of her career teaching nursing and most recently taught at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, College of Nursing in Memphis TN. She currently teaches in both the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs and enjoys having students in the clinical setting. She was a critical care nurse at Baptist and St. Thomas Hospitals and currently maintains an active faculty practice as an acute care nurse practitioner specializing in arrhythmias. She has conducted biomedical and clinical research investigating noninvasive electrocardiographic risk markers for sudden cardiac death and has published in this area. Currently she is evaluating early integration of EKG content into nursing curriculum and was the principle investigator for the funded Robert Woods Johnson Foundation: New Careers in Nursing Scholarship Program.
Dr. Harvey has one daughter and one son. For relaxation she enjoys cycling, baking and reading.
