The financial aid process begins with the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Remember that the priority date for filing the FAFSA is March 1 of each year. Students in the priority group are the first for whom we package and award financial aid. This is significant since funds are available in limited supply and since aid is awarded on a first-come first-served basis.

Belmont's Title IV code is 003479 . You need to put this on your FAFSA for us to receive your information.

After your FAFSA has been processed you will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR) from the federal processor. Review the information on your SAR for accuracy and follow the instructions listed on the SAR to make corrections, or to submit additional information.

The Office of Student Financial Services begins awarding for the upcoming academic year by March 15 each year. It generally takes four weeks to complete the award process. An award letter will be mailed to you.
