Belmont Music Therapy Summer Camp

Belmont University’s Music Therapy Summer Camp is a fun and therapeutic half-day camp designed for children with special needs ages 7-12. Led by board certified music therapists and Belmont students, campers will spend their mornings engaged in a variety of activities including music making, creative movement and dancing, song-writing, singing, arts and crafts, musical storytelling, and much more. The purpose of the camp is to promote participants’ social skills, verbal and non-verbal communication, creative expression, and the development of new friendships and support networks.

2018 Dates: June 4-8

Application will be available January 8, 2018.

Participants

Children ages 7-12 with special needs including Down’s Syndrome, Autism, intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, ADHD, and cerebral palsy.

At this time, we are only able to accommodate campers who are potty trained, ambulatory, and in a stable state of physical health.

10:00 AM      Structured Dances/Creative Movement
10:45 AM      Snack Time
11:00 AM      Arts and Crafts
11:45 AM      Musical Storytime
12:00 PM      Camper pick-up
