Natasha Walker

Natasha WalkerNatasha Walker, MM, MT-BC, Lecturer in Music Therapy and Coordinator of Clinical Placements, joined the Belmont University faculty as Adjunct Professor and Clinical Practicum Supervisor in January 2016.  Mrs. Walker is a board-certified music therapist and holds the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - Music Therapist (NICU-MT) specialization.

Mrs. Walker graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music (Liberal Studies Concentration) and Communications (Broadcast Media Concentration) from Austin Peay State University (2004), and a Master of Music in Music Therapy from The Florida State University (2009). 

Mrs. Walker is the owner and founder of ReSOUNDing Peace, a faith-based, wellness music therapy private practice in Nashville, TN.  Prior to launching her business, she worked at Parthenon Pavilion inpatient and intensive outpatient psychiatric facilities.  Although Mrs. Walker has clinical experience serving people of all ages, including those with developmental and intellectual disabilities, mental illness, substance use disorders, and Alzheimer’s/dementia; she currently specializes in stress and anxiety management, wellness, and faith-based relaxation/meditation/mindfulness techniques.

At Belmont, Mrs. Walker teaches guitar classes for music therapists, as well as practicum, and Introduction to Music Therapy.
