Tammy Rogers King
Tammy Rogers King is an Adjunct Instructor of Music in the Belmont University School of Music. She teaches applied fiddle and mandolin.
Ms. King received her Bachelor of Music degree in Music Performance (violin) from Belmont University with further studies at Southern Methodist University. As a performer, Ms. King has an extensive background in varying styles, including classical and country. She has performed with noted groups including the Nashville Symphony Orchestra as well as performance on national television programs including The Tonight Show, Late Night with David Letterman, The Today Show, MTV, VH1, Nashville Now, Academy of Country Music Awards Show, as well as various specials on TNN. She has toured with such noted musicians as Patty Loveless, Trisha Yearwood, Maria McKee, Victoria Williams, and has recorded with these artists and numerous others including Wynonna, Pam Tillis, Matraca Berg, Terry Clark, Rodney Crowell, Randy Scruggs and Neil Diamond.
Currently Ms. King tours with Reba McEntire. She has released three solo recordings on the Dead Reckoning label, In The Red, Tammy Rogers, and The Speed of Love. She is also a member of The SteelDrivers, and they have recorded their first record for Rounder Records that will be released Fall 2007.
