Stephen Davis

Mr. Davis received his Bachelor’s degree in Commercial Music from Belmont University in 1998.  His studies were primarily focused upon two fields: guitar performance and studio music/engineering. The unique cross section of gained attributes allowed a multi-varied perspective, which in turn brought about a wide variety of employment opportunities.

His working titles include: session/live guitarist, studio engineer, monitor engineer, house engineer, guitar tech, system tech, production manager, stage manager, tour manager, and not the least of which is music instructor.

His wide breadth of employers includes: Opryland Productions, Blackhawk Audio, Carman, Lorrie Morgan, Ray Stevenson, Shanna Crooks, and Muzik Mafia, among many others.  He has studied with John Pell, Marty Crum, Paul Abrams, Robert Thompson, Oz Noy, Wayne Krantz, Joe Giglio, Steve Kovalcheck, Lori Mechem, and Shane Roberts (With whom he currently studies).

Mr. Davis has obtained a unique understanding of the needs of the studio/live guitarist along with those of the studio engineer and producer. He now balances his time between co-ownership of Rock Block Guitars LLC and an active playing schedule. You can hear him playing with Dr. Bryan Clark every week in East Nashville, where he currently makes his home.
