Jennifer Cies is an Adjunct Instructor of Music at the Belmont University School of Music. She teaches courses associated with the Master of Vocal Pedagogy program and the Introduction to Vocal Pedagogy class.
Ms. Cies received her Master of Art in the School of Communication and Sciences and Disorders at the University of Texas at Austin, and her Bachelor of Art in Linguistics and Cognitive Psychology from Duke University. She has studied voice under the direction of Susan Dunn, Margaret Quon, Robin Follman Otta and Maurice Allard.
Concurrently, Ms. Cies is a Speech-Language Pathologist II, Singing Voice Specialist and teaches at the Vanderbilt Voice Center. She is a contributor/presenter on such topics as Voice Care, Voice Disorders, Muscle Tension Dyphonia, Voice Resonance Therapy and Voice Habilitation at various conventions or workshops throughout the United States. Ms. Cies holds membership in the following national and regional societies: American Speech, Language and Hearing Association, Tennessee Association of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology (TAASLP), and the Voice Foundation.
