Don Byrd is a full-time Adjunct Instructor of Music (Theory) in the Belmont University School of Music.
Mr. Byrd earned a Master of Arts in Theory and Composition from the University of Pittsburgh, where he is currently a Ph.D candidate, and a Bachelor of Music (composition and theory) and Bachelor of Arts (Philosophy) from Belmont University. His areas of interest and expertise include contemporary theory and aesthetics, theoretical and ear training concepts in rock and world music, and development of computer-based/online learning systems. Mr. Byrd is also a transcription assistant to Dr. E. Michael Harrington in his work as a copyright infringement expert witness.
