Ms. Elena Bennett is currently an Adjunct Instructor of Music (Piano) in Belmont University's School of Music. She teaches applied classical piano.
Ms. Bennett received both her Master of Arts degree (Classical Piano) and her Bachelor of Arts (Classical Piano) from Gnesins State Musical Academy in Moscow, Russia. Her teaching experience includes Vanderbilt University's Blair School of Music, Nashville, TN (since 1998) and private studio instruction.
Beyond her exceptional piano performance and accompanist skills (as exemplified with the Nashville Symphony Young Musicians Competition, NATS and MTNA competitions, Blair concert series and performances with the Nashville Ballet in TPAC), Ms. Bennett is also an accomplished media producer. Her accolades include creation of the first Broadcast Directory for Russia, an American Bible Society documentary, a film documentary on the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow, and production credits with Gosteleradio USSR 'Ostankino' Television (producer of numerous musical and variety shows, entertainment news, commercials and the Gradus ad Parnassum International Music Festival). Ms. Bennett's diverse creative abilities provide her students with both an academic and musically astute learning environment.
