Belmont Student Classical String Quartets and Piano Trios

Coached by Celeste Myall, Elisabeth Small, Keith Nicholas, and Sarah Cote. The Classical String Quartets and Trios study and perform a wide repertoire of standard literature for these ensembles. Undergraduate and Graduate String Quartets and Piano Trios perform at the Belmont Mansion. Of campus,the quartets have been featured performing at The Frist Center for the Visual Arts, Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art, Scarritt-Bennett Chapel and other performances in the Middle Tennessee area.

Belmont Student Brass and Woodwind Quintets, coordinated by Dr. Robert Gregg

These groups study and perform the music written for specific ensemble combinations. Depending upon availability of particular instruments, both groups perform a joint recital each semester on campus.

Rehearsals are specific to each quintet. This course offers one hour of ensemble credit. Participants in this organization are chosen through audition. Scholarships are available to those who perform in the ensemble (in conjunction with participation in band or orchestra).
