Musical Theatre
Musical Theatre (MUN 3970) showcases the classics of the American musical theatre. A fully-staged production is presented each spring semester and a staged and choreographed reading is presented each fall semester.
Musical Theatre majors are given preference for roles; however, open auditions are held for additional ensemble needs the semester preceding the production.
To help students find professional work, a variety of auditions and visits by casting agents take place on campus through out the year. The most recent visit to campus was Dave Clemmons of Dave Clemmons Casting out of New York City.
Rehearsals are held on Mondays 2:00pm - 5:00pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays 2:00pm - 4:30pm. Some evening rehearsals may be required. The spring production of Musical Theater offers one hour of ensemble credit.
