Belmont Chorale
Interim Director: Dr. Jane Warren

Belmont Chorale (MUN 3910) is one of the earliest performing ensembles in Belmont's musical history. It is a select mixed ensemble of 52 voices that performs diverse literature from all genres. Chorale has toured the U.S. as well as abroad, and has produced several recordings. In June of 2004, the ensemble will travel to Europe to perform as the guest choir for the International Church Music Festival in Bern, Switzerland. Prior to arriving at the Festival, they will tour Germany including visits to Dresden (a Belmont's International Studies program location), Leipzig, and Nurmburg. They will also perform in Prague, Czechoslovakia and Lucerne, Switzerland.
Chorale is an auditioned choir open to undergraduate sophomores, juniors, and seniors and graduate students. Commitment is required for the entire year (fall and spring semesters) due to a rigorous performance schedule and Spring tour. Rehearsals are on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 12:00pm - 12:50pm. This course offers one hour of ensemble credit.
Audition required.
