"Having lived in Nashville for most of my life, I had always known of Belmont's excellent reputation in music. After talking to my family and friends, I decided to give Belmont a try. Who knew that the perfect place for me was right in my own backyard!
When I came to Belmont, I started as a Music Business Major with a Music Minor. After a few months, I realized that my true love was performing and became a full-time music student. The faculty and staff were so encouraging and helped me get through the change smoothly. Now, I am a Classical Voice Performance Major and have since added a Minor in Italian.
Because of my Italian Minor, I have been making preparations to study abroad next semester in Florence, Italy. The School of Music faculty and staff have been incredibly supportive: helping me register for the right classes before I go and just sharing my excitement as the date approaches.
As I head into the last year and half of undergraduate studies, I feel very prepared for what lies ahead: graduate work, performing, whatever I want! From the solo opportunities I have had to the ensembles and productions I have been a part of, I feel like I am ready for the future."
