The reason I chose Belmont is because after checking out other music schools and praying about my decision, I felt that Belmont would fit my desires the best, and God gave me such a peace about it after I came to visit. I love the people that not only go to Belmont, but also work at Belmont. The people are the reason I have loved it so much and have felt so at home even though I am 17 hours from home. I also love all the opportunities that are offered to advertise different people's talents and gifts. I really do feel like the teachers truly care about the students and their success. At first, when I was told that over and over by other students, my first thought was, 'Ya, I'm sure everyone just says that to make the school look better.' I have found it to be very true! I love the campus as well. It is always kept up so beautifully, which really draws people to it. Belmont definitely meets my academic needs because even though I am focused on my music, I will be a well-rounded person for having to still take all the general classes and electives.
Although I love many things about Belmont, I think my favorite thing, if I had to pick one thing, would be the people that go here. I feel that there's a very high emphasis put on having a relationship with Christ, which is the most important thing. It is so encouraging to find so many people in one area that love the Lord as much as I do! Belmont is such a great place to make life-long friendships - ones bound together by Jesus Christ! I would definitely recommend Belmont to anyone because this place has so much to offer and has been an overall life-changing experience! This place makes people feel at home no matter how far away their home actually is. It is evident that they strive for success and excellence in every area of life and they truly care about people.
