I could not have chosen a better institution than Belmont University to pursue my academic and career aspirations. The moment I stepped on the campus, I knew that this place was created for me. Everything about Belmont was what I hoped it would be. I literally spent the first year in constant amazement that this was MY school! As I got more comfortable and familiar in this brand new place, my love for the Belmont community continued to grow and I found so many opportunities to be involved in what is happening at Belmont.
The School of Music has been absolutely perfect for me. You cannot find better professors and educators anywhere else. This is the most supportive and encouraging environment. Although I was intimidated at first, I quickly developed a strong support system of peers, teachers, and people in the music industry. I remember having an epiphany my first semester that although I was now surrounded by unbelievable talent, that was nothing to be scared of! When a person is surrounded by greatness, they can only become great.
The opportunities provided to music students are amazing. Showcases, recitals, internships, studio observations, mentors, concerts, ensembles, and on and on.... Quality education meets experiential learning. That's Belmont. As I now approach graduation, I am leaving this university with a degree that I'm proud of, experiences that have shaped who I am, mentors that have spoken so richly into my life, forever friends, invaluable leadership experience, and dreams for my future. And, it was worth every penny.
