MOT 1010 Cinematic Storytelling:  Introduce basic grammar of Filmmaking - both visual and aural. Short, simple projects will explore how camera, sound, and editing convey story and emotion. [Foundation class, must be taken before anything else.]


MOT 1895 The Media Makers:  Each week, a different guest will discuss the responsibilities of and fundamental thinking typical of their craft.  There will be a screening, or a hands on demonstration, or a lecture, followed by intensive conversation with the guest.  Students will have opportunities to learn from experts in a wide variety of fields. 


MOT 2010 Film History I - Lumiere To Cassavetes:  Through screenings, readings, lecture and class discussion, students will get an in-depth introduction to the history of feature films & documentaries, including international cinema. Non-Majors could take either Film History I or II to satisfy a Gen Ed requirement. [Foundation class, must be taken before anything else.]
