Having bounced around to what is now my third job in television, I feel I'm finally where I want to be! I have been at it for almost seven years now. I am a producer at a TV Production company called Surfing Moose Productions. We create an original show, Headline Country, which is syndicated amongst two networks: one here in America (GAC network) and one in Australia (CMC network). I produce segments and news pieces for the show. So, to do that I create interviews, conduct interviews, write scripts, and write the package to be edited and then help oversee.
My Belmont experience was LIFE CHANGING! I spent a majority of my time in the edit bays and in class. I'm so glad I found the Broadcasting (now Media Studies) program at Belmont. The professors taught me the building blocks of what I know today. There was never a time when they were too busy to help me with a project or a class assignment. In fact, they continue to get emails from me except now I'm asking for interns for the companies I have worked with. My junior/senior year I created my own talk show and interned in New York with "LIVE with Regis and Kelly". Without the help of my professors, there is NO way I would have been able to make those things happen! I can't imagine finding the experience and knowledge I received anywhere else.
