At Belmont, students don't merely study the media, they become practitioners in their respective fields. First-year students are immersed in practical media courses in their first semester, whether it be reporting, video production or public relations. Students can hone their skills working on the staff of our campus media, all housed in this department. Many of our students are equipped to undertake professional internships after their second year. The majority complete at least two internships prior to graduation. This enables our graduates to build personal portfolios that give them an edge in the job market upon graduation.
