Keely Hutchinson White, M.S

I have taught at Belmont University since the spring of 2003. I received a B.A. in mathematics with my certification to teach from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas.  While I was working on my masters in math with an emphasis in statistics at Middle Tennessee State University, I was an adjunct teacher at Belmont.   While at MTSU, I worked with one of my professors, Dr. Ginger Holmes-Rowell, on “ Web-based Regression Tutorials” for NASA.   Following completion of my masters, my plans were to teach math in high school, but thankfully God opened the doors for me to teach at Belmont University full time.

Since my time at Belmont, I have taught many different courses mainly consisting of the Calculus sequence and statistics courses.  My goal in these courses is to show students that mathematics is applicable to all areas of life and that each and every student can do mathematics!

My principal interests outside of academics revolve around my family and church.  I am an active member at Brentwood Hills Church of Christ.   My husband, Ryan, and I work along with other couples with the youth group.    One thing that I really enjoy doing outside of Belmont is buying antique furniture and refinishing furniture.   I have an antique booth at one of the local antique malls which keeps me busy.
